Our Little Nest

Praise God! We found a place to live in Fremont. Our goal was to find a place to rent in either Fremont or Wallingford, as these are the two target neighborhoods for the church plant. The inventory of rental properties (in our price range) was limited but through your prayers we believe God has placed us exactly where he wants us. Continued prayer for our new neighbors (that they will find favor with us and we will be able to build relationships) is still appreciated.
So I can already tell that city living is going to be something new for our family!  It is funny the things that were important to us when looking for an apartment in the city versus the suburbs of Birmingham. Key desirable features were the following: washer/dryer in unit, walking distance to shops, restaurants, bus stops and the Burke Gilman bike trail (I may or may not be attempting to bike to work), some outdoor space, windows, an off street parking spot, and STORAGE (closets, extra space in basement, etc). A bonus would be if we could find a newly updated apartment since most things in the neighborhoods were built prior to the 1960s. Fortunately for us our new place had everything we were looking for! Pictures of the pad below before we move in...
Our building.. it is a five unit building. Our place is the apartment on the first floor where the fence is
We have our no parking signs and street permit from the city...ready for the POD!
