Field of Dreams. Anyone remember that movie? They build the baseball field and the old players show up. Build it and they will come. Ours wasn't that dramatic but Wes did build a table and then we had our neighbors came for dinner :) In case you forgot, we live in 795 sq ft but thankfully we have a decent size courtyard. Since the weather is nice, hosting became somewhat easier due to using the courtyard space to have larger groups over. But there is no table outsize. To buy wooden table, it can be pricey so Wes went to home depot, borrowed a saw, and built us a table on Monday so we could have people over for our neighborhood dinner by Monday night. He didn't get the benches done which was fine because we just used table to hold the food. And now maybe we will just try to find some eclectic benches? Anyways he used
this lady's DYI website and $100 and a couple hours of labor later..... TABLE! We did a light stain since our chairs outside are dark.

already getting use by the kiddos |
My favorite part of the day was watching the kids take the scraps of wood and design, create, and build doll furniture. They later painted and stained different pieces. I hammered the nails most of the way in for them and let them do the last couple of hits to finish.
