Mommy, I'm Three!
Sadie has been beyond excited to turn 3. As soon as she woke up this morning she kept reminding us all she was 3, even trying to use it to her advantage to get her way. She said for her birthday she wanted friends to follow her around the house, open lots of presents, and everyone celebrate her. I might have to work on the definition of self centered soon huh? I just couldn't throw a big party right now but I wanted Sadie to feel special. We talked and decided to invite just 2 little girls her age over for a playdate but call it a party :) Sadie told me she wanted a "mean guy theme". I asked what that was and she said "a cake with Shredder (from Ninja Turtles) fighting Mor'du (Bear from Brave) on top and all the princesses below watching".... The Gladiator, Sadie? Anyway I talked her out of that by saying she wasn't a mean girl so lets think of something Sadie likes to do. Sadie likes to eat. And at every meal time she hops up on the bottom drawer step in the kitchen to help cook (I think that is because she likes to snack on the ingredients while she anxiously waits). So we called the party CHEF SADIE TURNS 3. We invited Zoe and Vivienne (2 girls from church) over this morning to make pizzas, decorate cupcakes, and just play at the house. It was very easy and simple with just 3 little girls. But we did decorate the kitchen and make a big deal out of it for Sadie though.
Present time was her favorite
Making Pizzas!
Blowing out candles on the cupcake she iced and decorated
The little friends took home their aprons and a balloon
Big Sister, Leighton, stayed for party but when I tried to get their picture together Sadie was not willing to share spotlight.
