Happy Birthday and Happy Hikers
Wes and I's birthdays are now all about the kids... just like most things I guess. The girls wanted to throw Wes a surprise party so while he was at church setting up, we decorated the house to their liking. Green and Blue streamers because Dad likes football (Seahawks colors) and for Wild Kratts as it's Wes favorite cartoon (and Leighton's). We made him a cake and Stouffers cooked him some Mexican food. Happy Birthday Wes. So glad you were born 32 years ago.
Also Levi turned 19 months old today too. I was off work so we walked the neighborhood, including a stop at Theo's just to warm by the fire. At 19 months Levi will try to repeat back words, says some words on his own or people's names and a few phrases, tries to sing, loves to dance, mimics his sisters with coloring/laying on their bellies, feeds off the excitement of others, waves to all, shakes men's hands, charms, initiates cuddling on the couch, chair or bed, and LOVES his pacifiers with animals. Levi has started wrestling and play fighting /attacking things. This is new for us but maybe not for other mom's of boys?! Love him so much!
This weekend, friends also invited us to hike in the North Cascades. There is a kid friendly trail to the Big Four Ice Caves. The weather was superb and again we drove the whole way with me pointing out trees. Tried to capture all the beauty on my little iPhone which was hard because around every corner was a great shot!
The last time we were here we only had one child and we ignored the warning signs. (HERE) Not this time. None of our kids were allow to go closer than 200 yards.
