Thanksgiving

Hello all,
My dad passed this verse on to me on Thanksgiving day so I thought I would share… 2 Cor 4:15 "For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving to the glory of God." Hope you all had a great day with friends or family or both. I very much missed being with our families. We face timed both sets but it wasn't the same.
Last week our missional community shared a meal together (chili and soups) in honor of Thanksgiving.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to Spokane to visit Katie and Marc (although we missed Marc because he was flying which I think happened last time we were there which was Thanksgiving 2012!)
Leighton "helping" Katie make cookies.
I think she just ate the chocolate chips
We went to the Spokane children's museum as well.
On Thanksgiving day we spent the evening with a friend's family. They are all from Seattle so it was nice to be surrounded by a great-grandma, grandparents and kids even if they weren't our own. I appreciate them including us! My friends kids are exactly the same age as Leighton and Sadie except they are boys which is neat.
Our family tried to walk to a Thai restaurant for lunch like we have done the past 2 Thanksgiving but this year,  to our surprise, they were all closed. We grabbed Starbucks instead.

Leighton has been doing a lot of holiday crafts!
Turkey hands she sent to her grandparents and great-grandmothers
Library story time making moose
making Christmas wreaths at the Morgados
We put up our tree which was fun for Leighton this year as she got to help. The bottom of the tree got heavy :)

Well Advent starts today and our pastor gave us a great tool to use for daily devotion. If you are interested it is free to download from John Piper's website Desiring God or click HERE

And as always, the CATS play tonight so GO BIG BLUE!
And my precious nephew…. Connor update :)
Lastly, to follow up from a previous post, Sharing A Room, Sadie is officially out of the bassinet and in the room with Leighton for nighttime and all naps. They have done very well together. All credit goes to Leighton for minding us when we ask her to not make noise because Sadie is asleep in the crib. And to note, I really LOVED the Baby Bjorn bassinet. Sadie outgrew it and is flipping over to sleep on her stomach now but we enjoyed everything about it for the 4 months we used it. We have passed it along to a friend at church so hopefully more babies can enjoy!
