WCA Presents....The Wizard of Oz

 

Sadie is back on stage and loving it. This time we didn't miss the performances. She tried out for a dancing parts in the school play, Wizard of Oz. She was cast as a Lullaby League and Jitter Bug. She felt very loved and supported. Grandparents, friends and our church sent fruit baskets, flowers, and encouraging notes to her. Leighton, Wes and I all attended all 3 shows so we had it memorized by the end :) Papa and Levi supported two which I was impressed he stayed engaged for the 3 hour show! 

And as you can image, she thrived with the attention and fun on stage and backstage with friends. She really enjoyed the fact that she had to do a costume change half-way through show and all the little girls enjoyed the make up!

Sadie also enjoyed requesting concession snacks to be brought back stage during intermission. 

I got these roses for Sadie and she told me that I had a two fold motive.... one for her and second for how pretty they would look at home. She wasnt wrong. 

The upper school kids who filled the speaking roles did an excellent job! Very impressed with their acting and singing talent!
