August and the Last of Summer Break
Wrapping up the rest of summer included play dates, card games, swimming, Back to School shopping, and finishing Levi's baseball season.
Our church, Local, had a party in the park day which was fun to connect.
Leighton started track for WCA and even had first meet in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Levi last baseball game!
He is a good steward of his belongings and sweetly packs up and always puts trash in trash can. One of the little things i love about him.
Leighton made a flower crown at the game to keep busy.
Sadie was mad they dont keep score and get outs to make the games more interesting. Gracious friends, the Douglas' took us out on their boat one evening on Lake Erie.
Levi and the neighborhood superhero boys (theo and lincoln)
Leighton had her first track meet. We were all excited and 5 minutes after she starts and enters the wooded area, 60 mph wind storms comes through. Wes runs 2 miles in flip flops in woods. Leighton never stops running. Meanwhile Grami, Levi and Sadie are huddle under pavilion crying and I am worried for branches falling on Leighton or Wes. Then she emerges from the trees in pouring down rain. I just wanted to protect her and be with her if she was scared. She said she was but just kept going. It was an emotionally first run for all.
The Lord was gracious. Not one runner or spectator got hurt and Wes said limbs were down in woods but not one on the trail.
End of the summer pool party at Westlake Center with other WCA families....
Fidgets have been all the rage around here this summer!
Levi and Grami doing charades where Levi is horse and Grami is cowgirl :)
Grami came and organized my closets. Something needed.
Girls enjoyed a birthday party with friends in the last week before back to school!
