The parents came this week for Thanksgiving. We picked them up from the airport, took the ferry to Bainbridge and then drove an hour to Port Townsend (northeast side of the Olympic Peninsula). There was a lot of snacking on Sadie, playing hide and seek with Leighton, fire, scenic views, pretty parks, exploring the grounds of
Chevy Chase Beach Cabins (an old country club and cabins used for vacationers since 1897), the charming downtown, good pizza from Waterfront Pizza and brunch at
Sweet Laurette's, and
Fort Worden State Park. Mom loved the
Marine Science Center more than Leighton I believe.
