Attention Non-Readers: Not By Sight

Cant stay focused when reading? Three pages in and you have given up? Don't want another feel good devotional? Need to hear truth from the bible explained because you feel overwhelmed when you open the Book? Or are you just on the go and though you like to read you find yourself having maybe 5-10 minutes a day.....maybe sitting in a parking lot, maybe finally sitting down before falling asleep at night, or on your lunch break? I have the perfect book suggestion for you, "Not By Sight" by Jon Bloom. Each chapter is independent from the next and each is 2-3 easy to read pages. It is basically short bible stories for adults.
I started reading it but Wes picked it up as well (he does not like to read) and so now we are both reading it, but on different chapters. So the book is not gender specific. An exert from the book.....

"You see, real freedom is not liberty to do what we want or the absence of distress. Real freedom is the deep- seated confidence that God really will provide everything we need. The person who believes this is the freest of all persons on earth, because no matter what situation he finds himself in, he has nothing to fear.
But the only way for sinners like us, with a bent toward unbelief in God, to find this kind of freedom is by experiencing repeatedly God's delivering power and his faithfulness. That's why we are to "to count it all joy.....when we meet trials of various kinds" James 1:2. These trials are making us free. God answered Jehoshaphat's faith-filled prayer in a spectacular way. He threw the armies of Ammon, Moab and Edom into confusion and they slaughtered one another. Jehoshaphat and his choir-led army never had to lift a sword. And it took them three days to carry the plunder back home.
God's word to you through this story, in a lll the crises you face, is this: "Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God's" 2 Chron 20:15"- Jon Bloom
