Back to School, Back to a Routine

The kids started back to school at Westside Christian Academy. Leighton is entering upper school as that is when 7th grade starts (her uniform also shifted and she has a locker!). Levi has Mrs Santos for 2nd grade and Sadie has Mrs Gaitenella for 5th grade. They were all very excited. Leighton had some tears on the 1st day of school over hair, all which is very normal for pre-teen.

Levi greeted Mrs. Santos with a smile and hung up his bookbag. Sadie ran off to her class before I could get a picture. Leighton is thrilled her locker is next to Lydia's; decorating her locker was a joy for her! In upper school they also get assigned to one of 4 houses for fun competitions. Leighton ate her cupcake it showed she would be joining the house of Galileo.

As cross country continuous, hair and body decorating for race days has become extremely important.

We are proud of theme for running! It is mental toughness. We go burgers after the meet to celebrate!

Other pictures from the begging of September include Levi helping me bake (the other two can do it on their own now so he is the only one left to be a little helper!), Levi and Auri at church, homework time, soccer foot skills class,

Cross country meets tend to be longer days because the drive to the meet is farther so they set up camp, Levi finds a friend, and we bring snacks!

The girls are taking tennis lessons still so while they learn Wes and I play and feed to Levi.

And another routine in addition to school, homework, sports is starting our small group back up for the fall. Our church is continuing to read through "A Praying Church" which is good but what I enjoy most is that most of our small group time is not spent talking about the book/theories but actually praying together!
