England: Bath

The airbnb house, Innes and Kathy booked outside of Bath was perfect. It was situated on a hilltop, no view of neighbors, a footpath (trail you can walk on private property) was across the road through a wildflower field, and had enough space for us all to spread out. Levi played baseball with Ian and Papa or flew airplanes in the yard with the girls. It was a nice change from the hotel scene. While we were at the house for four nights, Innes and Kathy also cooked delicious dinners for us every night! Our little contribution was doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen.

Since we were staying just outside the city of Bath, we went there for our first day in the countryside. First we had a delicious brunch out and then we visited the Abbey and a gift shop while we waiting for our ticket time to the Roman Baths.

It was a little chilly when the sun wasn't out so I bought Levi this London jacket in which he wore most of the remainder of the trip. Later to be paired with his bowler hat. Dobby was still with us touring!

These two will find an electronic, interactive feature anywhere we go!
Right before we went into the Roman Baths, we ran into our neighbors and kids' school friends from Rocky River! They live 2 streets behind us. We knew we were both traveling to London and would be in Bath around the same time but hadn't planned a meet up. Small world.
The whole group enjoyed the Roman Baths but Leighton said it was her highlight of the trip. She read all the details and listened to the audio tour as long as we let her.
The staff at the Roman Baths, pretended to be in the early era of its construction so they had the kids trying to explain everything from phones to airplanes to them. It was funny.

After the Roman Baths, it was tea time at Sally Lunn Bunns! Delicious chai tea for the girls and I. The buns were so good too!
After tea, the girls took a tour at the Jane Austen center which was lovely. We mostly enjoyed writing with a quill.
Beautiful architecture in Bath too!
We would go back to Bath! Enjoyed the city, the history of the Roman Baths, and all the yummy food.
