Leighton is promoted to Upper School

 

Westside Christian Academy separates grammar school (K-6th grade) and upper school (7th - 12th) so as Leighton is finishing 6th grade she had a promotion ceremony for upper school. She was excited to get a new dress and "primp in the girls bathroom" at school on the day of. There were lots of pictures taken of Leighton and friends. The class also recited a Teddy Roosevelt speech, Psalm 91 and sang a wroship song as well as a funny song. They made a video high light for fun as well as we submitted baby and toddler pictures which were really hard to reflect on as her mom. She received the character award of integrity from her teach Mr. Pfeiffer. He said she is upfront and honest when she forgets an assignment or in general and I would concur.
