Wildcat Weekend

My parents enjoyed flying the girls and I down last month so they asked if I would bring Levi next. I gladly said yes. We looked at the scheduled and decided if we flew to Nashville again, Levi would enjoy going to the SEC tournament and of course I was selfishly wanting to go too. Thanks to Uncle Michael for using connections to get free tickets for all 4 of us!

Levi and I tried to come up with a catchy name like “Bros’ Weekend” and settled on “Wildcat Weekend”. We wanted to be able to change it to “Wildcats Win Weekend” but unfortunately they lost.

He looked so proud using his rolling suitcase in the airport. He was an insistent helper to put both of our stuff on conveyor belts for security.  We shared  airpods on the plane to watch the TV show, Family Matters and at one point he turned the music to our song "Touching Heaven" by Johnny Swim on. So sweet.

We decided to leave on Thurs night last minute so that gave us the day on Friday to spend at my parents house. All Levi wanted to do was shoot hoops!

Then we headed to Nashville to stay two nights for the SEC tournament. Levi also enjoyed the experience of hotel life. He and Grami also both like to use umbrellas. I think they were the only ones on the streets of Nashville using them during a sprinkle rain.

I am glad Mom and Dad snapped these pictures of our little relationship. His love languages are touch and quality time. He finds his way into my lap every time sit down to eat at home or out.

We watched the game before Kentucky played and then Kentucky's unfortunate lost to Vandy. But Levid did get to experience the crowd of Big Blue Nation fans. A guy didnt want Levi to be sad that he didnt get a shirt thrown to him so he gave him these glasses too. Im glad someone was caring for him because I was pretty intense during game.
During half time or when other games were going on, Levi liked to take a break and shoot hoops in the lobby.
Once Kentucky lost, we still enjoyed the SEC festivities and the Nashville Honky Tonk night life. Dinner at Jason Aldean's with live music was a treat. We thought he needed a cowboy hat too. Curtness overload.

The girls also had a fun father/daughter weekend. They went to a MAC tournament womens’ basketball game with friends and also enjoyed staying in and watching movies.

But everyone was happy to be reunited!
