March Memories

There are things I don't want to forget about each of the kids. There is probably something they say or do everyday I want to treasure so writing some of those down.

Levi.....

-          How it will mimic Wes, silently.

-          How much he loved playing basketball. He comes home every day and changes into a jersey and shoots in his room. For his Upward season, he did want to shoot and not pass every time he got the ball and constantly yelled “pass” back to teammates. We tried to work with him on where to stand for rebounds if he wanted to get the ball….

-          The way he makes his bed and falls asleep in the car or our bed so his doesn't get messed up. And he wants me to lay down with him while he falls asleep and will still hold my hand. He tells me "its dark out, too late for you to spend time with Dad or when I am sleepy then you are too" to get me to lay down with him.

-          The way he thinks all older kids are his close friends and talks to them as much as they will listen (he sees no age)

First school projects

Leighton....

-          The way she enjoys browsing sweets at Westside Market

-          How she is still mourning Sawyer

How she likes to wear her wireless headphones and listen to music while doing homework or cleaning

Though she is growing up and maturing (desiring to be adult-like) she still will revert back to little girl and be silly and dress up with brother!

How friend time has become a priority. below are her closest friends, Maddie and Lydia from school.

Sadie.....

I don't have many pictures of her as she is in a "no picture" by mom phase

She still likes climbing and being active. What I have discovered about Sadie though recently is how her love language is words of affirmation. From her parent/teacher conference her favorite thing her teacher said was "if Sadie is absence, I panic. She keeps me in line and knows what is going on and what we need to do"; she would rather you tell her she played awesome in soccer than celebrate with a gift or ice cream (though she wouldn't turn them down); if you ask her how her day is at school she makes comments about how she was excited that people said "I got Sadie on my team" at recess. Also things she cares about (like school work, outfits, etc) she does well and really far in advance. She says it stresses her out to wait until the last minute to do book reports or school projects. She does not procrastinate in the school realm.

All Three

-          Trying new donut places!

How we have trained them all to want to cuddle

Going to sporting events! We were fortunate to get 3 free tickets from Levi's upward league so we bought the girls tickets and we all went! We sat with our friends the Missi's. Levi and Auri's friendship is so cute. They talked and cheered during the entire game. There classmate Henry was there too and stopped by to say hi.
They are up for family friendly competition. We all filled out a March Madness NCAA tournament bracket and winner gets to pick dinner, dessert and movie.
Though they don't like it, they all 3 share a bathroom.
BRING ON SPRING, CLEVELAND!
