Short Yet Mighty February

February always seems to go faster than January but this year a lot was packed in. We lost our first family pet, Sawyer. Leighton is still grieving the most.

Sadie continued soccer and the other two finished up basketball. We did a girl's trip to Nashville. I also started The Gospel Coalition Cohort for women called How to Teach the Bible.  We continued to do things around Cleveland with friends, whether that is the library or shopping excursions (the girls are really into browsing with friends and Levi likes to bring Auri).

Wes and I even got a lunch date when I was on a comp day for weekend. Levi had been begging me to do lunch duty for his class so I did that as well.

A few warmer days were a treat and a tease and it made us want Spring! Leigthon and I walked to Lake Rd Market and the wind showed off her "curtain bangs" that Josiah had cut.
Celebrated a friend (and the kids Pediatrician), Andrea, birthday with sushi and great company!
Levi did have a routine 2 hour EEG in the epilepsy clinic this month. It was not as bad as the one that required us to start the steroid burst but not as a good as the last one. The plan is to continue to wean off his steroids (finishes in March), complete a neuropsych eval and then do a 24 hour outpatient EEG in May.
Neuropsych testing day. We always ensure we he gets spoiled with food and treats! Overall the neuropsychologist said he did well and no major concerns. She did tell us things about how he learns best which is verbal repetition.
The girls room also got a little make over! The bunkbed ladder broke so they are trying now twin beds and we got bedding to match the existing wall paper. We also added individual scones for reading since previously they fought about how long to leave the overhead light on at night. I also printed off some pictures finally that I think show their personalities for all their rooms.

Wes also tackled my request to paint the trim and doors a darker shade. He gave the white walls a touch up job too. It was time after almost 5 years!
Hopefully you can see contrast here

While Wes painting, the kids and I cleaned out the attic and rid about 10 trash bags of stuff. We celebrated with dinner and ice cream.

Leighton's basketball banquet was also this month. Her coach, Mr. Formica, said she was very diligent and a hard worker!
