Grandparents Camp for the Kids and AZ for the Parents

Our friend Jim invited some friends from Chicago (where their family used to live) and from Cleveland to go Scottsdale AZ for a week. Wes and I were excitd to get to take a friend, adult-only trip. It was very relaxing and low-key which was very nice. And the 3 couples from Chicago taht we vacationed with whom we just met were such a delight and fun.
The grandparents graciously took the kids for the week. The girls spent the first half of the week at Mimi and Big's while Levi was at Grami and Papa's. Then they switched for the second half of week. I knew they were in good hands but did miss them! I enjoyed getting pictures. They were spoiled and had a blast!

We went one day to Sedona AZ (2 hours north of Scottsdale) and it was beautiful!

(Jackie and Jackie's sister in law, Kelsey)
Below are our Cleveland friends on trip (Jackie and Jim Kohl, Devon and Matt Guertin, and Morgan and John Heberle)
And the whole group with their Chicago friends.
It rained while we were there (it is "monsoon season") so the waterways they had built to prevent flooding were red from the mountain rock!
The house was so nice and accommodated all 7 couples!
Some mornings Wes and Morgan and I would slip out for coffee!
We enjoyed good food!
And I loved the vegetation and seeing the different landscape around the neighborhood and in the wild! Wes and I also went to the Phoenix Botanical Gardens on our way to the airport.
The guys went golfing one morning and seemed to have a good time, even spotting a coyote.
Until next time AZ!
