All is Calm, All is Bright
Christmas Eve began with worshipping with our church, Hallows Church, at the north expression in Shoreline. We were able to read the advent as a family which was nice. Leighton even read a little and Sadie said "will you pray with us." The kids helped lead worship by singing "Joy to the World"
The afternoon was lazy with naps and opening one gift for the kids. Then it began to snow.... we always like going to candlelight services on Christmas Eve so we decided to walk to Fremont Baptist 5pm service and participate. It was a perfect time to start snowing. I couldn't help but think as we were walking how the ground can be so dirty in Fremont, not with just dirt but human waste and trash....but the snow was covering it all perfectly. Isaiah 1:18 came to mind how God said "though their sins are like scarlet, I will make them white as snow"
I roasted Mema's pecans that night and Wes and I watched another holiday movie.
The day prior to Christmas Eve we met some new friends, The Malone family at the Seattle Center to go ice skating. Even Levi got out there for a bit though Wes' thighs were burning!
