Disney World and ASHP Midyear Meeting in Orlando!

If you have a work conference in Orlando what must you do for fun? Disney World! Poster presentation and PGY1/ICU position recruitment was paying for myself to join others from Seattle Children’s at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in FL.
So we took the girls out of school and all flew to Orlando. We spent about 3 days at Disney World, two at Magic Kingdom and one at Epcot. The kids (and my parents/Wes) had some rest time at the pool while I was at the conference in between.
It was magical and fun to watch the kids be wowed. The girls enjoyed meeting princesses, tea cup ride, and Barnstormer roller coaster the best. They did brave Splash Mountain too but didn’t want to do it twice. Levi enjoyed meeting the princesses as well. He would hug tight and not want to let go of their hands. He was so sweet blowing kisses as well. And his favorite words to say to on the trip were "Papa" and "Mic Mouse" for Mickey Mouse. But most of all I enjoyed Wes enjoying his first experience at anything Disney! Disney does everything more extravagant than the next and it was fun to watch Wes be blown away!

I was I was back there only having to worry about what Fast Pass to get for the day instead of work, groceries, laundry, school, and more J Beware of picture overload….I will separate the days….
 Airport life!

Our motto/chant for the week was "Disney or Bust" and you can see the excitement in the car on the way to the park from hotel!
Magic Kingdom Day 1... the girls faces when they saw the castle were awesome!
The weather was great! We all got a little hot mid-day from 80 degrees as we weren't accustomed to the humidity! The girls told me later that this picture included a convo between them about being best friends :)
