Back to School

Starbucks started selling pumpkin spice lattes, Labor day is over, and school started - all things leading us into fall. Today was the first day of school. The girls are both at the same school as last year. Sadie enters Pre-K in Ms Jill and Ms Bettye's class at Little Feat's Preschool. Leighton enters first grade at Seattle Classical Christian in Mrs. Hurst class. The only big change for this year is Leighton will be in school all day. I think we will all miss her, especially Sadie. See below for pictures of the first day. Levi doesn't start his toddler class at the Hearing Center (EEU) till Sept 18th but he pushed the girls out of the way with a loud "CHEEESE" to get a picture as well!
1 year old class, Pre-K, and First Grade

Drop off in the class room! Sadie hanging up her unicorn backpack and Leighton quickly sat down and listened at her desk (notice her little hands). She is so excited to have her own desk to store supplies and keep organized.
Since we had Monday and Tuesday of this week free before school started, I took each girl on a different day for a Mom and Me date. On Monday, Sadie requested Homegrown Grilled Cheese and then Pie ice cream. We finished the date in Fremont with a stop at a used book store!
On Tuesday, Leighton and I went to Queen Anne's to get a pedicure. She also got a manicure. Then we too ended up back at the same used book store because of the good finds Sadie and I purchased the day prior.
Just like me, Leighton got more excited about finding more books than the nails :) And today after the girls were dropped off, Levi had some solo time at a Greenwood coffee shop and another used book store! We are on a roll of finding classic books :)
