Smores with the Moores

Saturday we took a group of about 11 adults and 4 kids camping to Gold Basin Campground in the Cascade Mountains from the Hallows Church. We advertised the trip with an emphasis on the special event for the evening, Smores' with the Moores'. I hope everyone enjoyed the hiking, camping, food and smores! We had a great time even though when you camp for 1 night, most of your time is spent setting up and taking down. We did manage to take a hike to the Ice Caves which were pretty cool. Pictures of the trip below....

Delaney, Leigthon and Zoey (13 year old who took to L easily) .... I know now why parents take nannies on trips with them.... having a Zoey to entertain and watch Leighton as an extra set of eyes was nice
L showing Daddy's new tent (early birthday present from Grami/Papa)
Dan setting up camp

During our hike the girls wanted to hold hands. It was very sweet but forced Kim and I to walk awkwardly close : )
We took a hike to the Big Four Ice Caves. It was a very pretty sight. The top of the mountains were covered by fog or it would have been even better!  The temperature change was about 10-15 degrees different at the opening of the caves.

Friends!!! so thankful for the group around us

Wes went in the cave despite the warnings and got some cool pics
