Basketball Season for L&L

We have two first time basketball players in teh family. Leighton decided to play for WCA's 5th grade girls team this year. The other girls in her class were playing so I think she was interested in being apart. She said she enjoys it more than track because she likes the team dynamic. They practice two days a week after school and games on Sat. Levi is playing for a 5/6 YO team for Upward. Upward is a neat program that incorporates prayer and devotions at practice and games. He only practices once a week and games on Sat. It is so cute to see them both. Leighton is more aggressive on the court than I anticipated and has really learned shooting form. Levi is still grasping concepts of the game and when to be on defense versus offensive. This Sat he played defense the  whole game even when his team was shooting :) 

Sadie enjoys Leighton's games because the younger sisters are her friends. She also gets into both of her siblings games, giving coaching advice from the sidelines. 

After basketball games there are usually request from one of the girls to have a friend over. Below is Sadie and her classmate Lucy. 

On Tues, Wes and I have to split duties. I have Leighton nd Levi because of Levi's basketball practice while Wes takes Sadie to gymnastics. We do dinner separate and eat out these nights. 

They both are having a lot of fun!
