Argghh Pirate Party

My yearly contribution to the school is volunteering for one of their class parties. For Leighton this year it was Pirate Day. They had been reading a book about Pirates and so they were able to dress up, have a scavenger hunt, games, crafts and food. I was in charge of games so we did a "pretzel hook" and pirate charades. 

Leighton never really ask for us to buy a costume for these type of events. She sets her mind to making a costume on her own. She used her Morticia Halloween costume. She sewed on patches and cut up the sleeves and bottom. It was then paired with a belt, boots, and PJ pants to complete her look. Levi let her borrow a sword and hat!
