Snowy Cleveland

Last week I was asking all the Clevelanders where the snow was... I had pictured it being 15-25 degrees from Dec- March with harsh cold winds and a 5-10 inches of snow always on the ground. They replied "oh don't ask... just wait". We didn't get that cold of temperatures (just yet) and the only harsh winds were by the lake but we did get a couple inches of snow. It is enough for the kids to play and sled. And maybe that is just right. Who knows what the rest of Jan and Feb will hold but we did make it this far without a "bad winter". ...

Below is this morning walking from our car to the church space we rent... we passed pretty old architectural buildings and houses. This is exactly what my mind pictured Cleveland to always look like.
Even at work, the snow gives a pretty view. I say if it is going to be cold, then cover the ground white.
Waking up to a snowy backyard is very cozy.
(and front yard)
Our neighbor loaned us two extra sleds and suggested a hill in Bay Village. It was steep....after Leighton went airborne once she went to the lower hill. Sadie the big drop several times. Levi stayed content on the small hill and gave Wes a workout as he went down and then had to haul him back up many, many times.
Thankfully no one slide all the way into the water stream!
Driving back from sledding we pulled over to look at the cold, rough waves splashing and leaving icicles on the banks of Lake Erie.
Then hot chocolate...
