First Holiday Season in Cleveland

Let it snow Let it snow Let it snow! If it is going to be cold, it might as well be pretty. They kids enjoyed their first snow fall at the beginning of December. Cleveland knows how to handle snow. Our roads were clear and salt was everywhere.
With snow comes hot chocolate :)
And tree finding and decorating. The girls enjoy reminiscing via ornaments as much as I do!
The stockings are hung by the chimney with care. And a little Bing album.
This year my favorite decoration was a wooden nativity scene. Levi loves playing with it and it is durable enough when he decides to have the sheep plow down the wise men.
Coffee shop dates for more hot chocolate before church :) and then serving warm coffee at church!
Wes got a little Clark from Christmas Vacation in him when he put lights on the porch.
We tried cookie baking and decorating with hopes to take to the neighbors. They were not presentable to say the least. We then opted for gingerbread cookies with no decor to share with new neighbors (since we don't have an established relationship we didn't want to scare them away with our bad icing jobs just yet)
Leighton's class performed a few songs at the school Christmas concert. She also played the xylophone during one song :)

Her support group included Connor. My parents picked him up on their way to visit last weekend which was a fun addition!
We gave Dad basketball tickets for Christmas. The kids had fun (mainly because they got on the jumbotron) and the Cavs came out with a victory!
And Grami created fun of her own by taking the 3 older kids to see the a play, Rudolph The Nose Reindeer, at Playhouse Square.
My forever coffee date and I enjoyed more hot chocolate and a nap!
Two more weeks until Christmas! It has been challenging with distractions I allow in and others that are just in my face to actually be quiet/still during advent. It should be an expectant time reflecting and hoping on when Jesus returns again. Praying for the next weeks and time with family to be glorifying and honoring to our Savior!
