Indoor Fun

The post holiday time has had us looking for new activities. We have had more sunshine but even the sunshine means cold days. So if it is either raining or cold we have had to look for indoor activities! We are thankful to family who gave some of their Christmas gifts in the form of lessons for the girls. Things we are exploring in the month of January and February....

1. Since unfortunately I cannot sew or knit my friend Melissa has offered to teach Leighton how to knit. Leighton requested to learn so why not! She is beyond excited and what a cheap hobby you can do anywhere. I will let you know how it goes because as of now we just have her supplies laid out.  I can already picture it now.... rainy day and Leighton listening to book on tape while she knits, my old soul. 

2. Using the gymnastic open gym free play punch card we gave girls for Christmas. They got so much energy out and loved it.

 3. Community Center Classes thanks to family gifting. We like the community center classes for this age because the commitment is short if they or us don't like it, price is not bad, and its close to home!

 4. Still going to coffee shops with Leighton to have quiet time together. Its my favorite always.

 5. Taking advantage of places that offer "free" services. Leighton got her hair trimmed and they offered her a complementary manicure. Score
