Papa means Play
My dad came to visit and the visit was too short. Leighton attached easily and fast as if she had just seen him yesterday (thanks to facetime/skype). I am therefore dreading tomorrow when he goes to the airport as she will realize he is not coming back to our house for a while. As she gets older it is harder on both parties I believe. The grandparents become more attach to her little personality, as they can carry on conversations now and her sense of humor comes through. Calling them by name and insisting on them carrying her, holding her hand, etc also contributes to this problem. And for Leighton she does get sad now when they leave which breaks my heart.
But we had a good time and made the most of Papa's time with us.... heading to the children's museum
Letting Papa be in charge of bath time....
And going to Hyak Snow Park about 45 miles east into the Cascade Mountains to play in some snow. It has not snowed in Seattle all year and last year when we had snow she was too little to remember. So a quick drive into the mountains fixed that. She enjoyed being pulled on the sled and going down the hill with Papa and Daddy. We also found a nice snowman someone else built so Leighton got to see Frosty! Success.
And here is Wes and I before Sam and Jess' Wedding last weekend....I am about 17 weeks here. Now 18 weeks!!!
