Rainy Day Fun and Hallows Dedication

Rainy days can cause the Moore household to go a little stir-crazy when you have a 17 month old. We play kitchen, read, color, paint, play dough, bubbles, stuffed animals, side walk chalk under the porch, etc until we can't take it anymore and then we take a "nature walk" to starbucks, twirl cafe (coffee shop with kids play area = genius), Zoomazium, or if we are lucky it is Thursdays and we go to school!

usually Mommy or Daddy are her playmates but it is nice to catch her doing something alone or with a friend

coloring.... I have drawn a million "purple bongays" aka "purple balloons" in the past couple of weeks

L is using everything as a personal jungle gym. She loves to climb!
getting out for walk and eating her "momma" as she calls bread for some reason?
Leighton's Co-op class took a field trip to Swanson's Nursery this past Thursday. Unfortunately for her, Mommy and Daddy missed the memo that the kids were suppose to dress up in their Halloween Costumes. I thought they were just going to plant a flower in a pumpkin... We are not starting this parenting thing off right : /

Also this past Sunday we dedicated Leighton to the Hallows Church. Basically we asked our friends that worship/bible study/etc with us, would commit to invest in Leighton's life and help us disciple her. It also stands for a public vowing that Wes and I will teach her God's love in light of the gospel; hoping our friends and family will hold us accountable as well!
