Halloween: The Land of Oz

This summer the kids enjoyed listening to us read the Wizard of Oz (the book is actually pretty different than the movie we learned), watching the 1939 movie and listening to the sounds track of songs over and over during our road trip. Since they are still on board for group costumes, they all picked a character to dress up as from the Wizard of Oz. 

Leighton picked to be the Wicked Witch. Sadie chose Dorothy. And Levi committed to the Tin Man. 

We trick-o-treated in our new neighborhood. The kids really enjoyed it and it was a great way to meet the neighbors. They really decorated! 

Levi's school had a Fall Festival and Trunk o Treat the week before halloween that Sadie and Levi chose to go to. 

Sadie enjoyed it but Levi was on cloud nine seeing his classmates and teachers dressed up. They told us he had been telling them for weeks he was going to be the Tin Man and practicing his Tin Man moves.
