Mayberry USA

What is Cleveland like? We are trying to figure that out still ourselves. It is a divided city as in you either live on the Eastside or the Westside, with some living south. Once you pick your side of town they say you don't venture to the other. Therefore if we live on the west side then we won't have any friends on the east side by this code. The east side gets more snow and tends to be more diverse. The west side reminds me of Mayberry. This is where we are currently, on the boarder of Westlake and Bay Village communities. Bay Village especially is a quiet little community close to the lake with a few local shops, sidewalks, and a library. We have enjoyed biking to the library or the one coffee shop :)
Or the parks and rec dept has free fishing at a pond from 10-2pm. They provided the poles and worms and the kids just enjoyed the activity of fishing. We probably stayed there 2 hours and they each caught one fish. A lesson in patience but they love it!
Also where we are renting has several kids so they play together every night in the common courtyard area. We have been surprised how many kids we see riding bikes alone here. Oh and no one chains up their bikes either. The kids will miss these friends if we buy a place farther away. It has made us want to pick a kid friendly street with neighbors who have kids their age for the convenience of entertainment.
Update on Levi... he is potty training! He also enjoys dress up and listening to music. And his passy obsession has gone too far.
The neighbor/city of Rocky River is the east of where we are on the way toward downtown. We would also like to live there as it is a great community close to the beach, with local places, parks and a library too.

We have also been looking in the areas of Fairview Park and Lakewood. So hard to know so continue to pray for neighbors, relationships, friends, church community and a more permanent home.
