Mini Trip North

Since Mary Ann and I needed to head north to share at Birch Bay, WA for Mountain Church's women's retreat on Saturday, we decided to bring the families and make it i a little mini getaway! BEWARE OF PICTURE OVERLOAD. So we all took off work on Friday and stopped half way in Skagit Valley at the tulip farms. Sadie and Jack loved hanging out with each other. Jack loved kissing Levi. And the big girls enjoyed being together too!

Next we went to our hotel in Bellingham. We stayed there because it was only about 15-20min from the women's retreat. The kids were thrilled to have adjoining rooms, an indoor pool, and the entire hotel experience! (except Levi did not like the pool)
Much ice cream was consumed on this trip as we had dinner and dessert in the cute little town of Fairhaven.

On Saturday, Mary Ann and I, left the dads and kids to explore Bellingham, Fairhaven and Birch Bay. I think they found some star fish and barnacles and more ice cream.
Birch Bay was raining most of the day but it was okay because we were inside learning about contentment :) (Below is Mary Ann teaching)
Because the women from the retreat left Saturday evening we were able to use their condos for free that night. The kids loved another slumber party.
Sunday was gorgeous outside so we took our time coming home before evening church. It was nice to be outside and even get to stop at pray at 1015am today and thank God for Levi as that was the time he seized last April 30th. We stopped in Anacortes at Cap Sante Park not knowing the beautiful views we were about to see. Perfect place the Lord led us to enjoy, pray and reflect.

Then we got lunch at Dad's Diner because we love their carolina style bbq sandwiches! Then stopped at Snow Goose Produce for a big scoop of ice cream. Never wait to celebrate!
