Leighton's Babymoon: San Diego

Leighton had her last hurrah as an only child this week as we made a mini vacation in San Diego. It started off rough with the rental car not starting and then Leighton throwing up in the carseat. Fortunately for us we hadnt left the parking lot, unfortunately for Budget they were left with a dead battery and a dirty car seat. But then things improved. We did have to deal with napping away from home/on the go which is a little difficult but she fell asleep when she was tired (mainly when we were sitting by the pool). Overall we enjoyed San Diego and the fact that they had a Chick-fil-a. Weather was nice, scenery was nice, and it was nice being somewhere where things are spread out (plenty of parking spots/lots, 6 lane roads, etc).

At Coronado Beach....
Went to Old Town to eat at the Best Mexican Restaurant Cafe Coyote. Old Town supposedly gets more visitors than the Zoo and Sea World....
The next day we went to the zoo...you can see how big I am getting...27 weeks down. 3rd trimester!
The Polar Bears were our favorite exhibit. They were very active!
 Leighton hugging "Dumbo"
And asking to feed the giraffes ...
Tried to take a family picture but L just gave the lady a mugshot
How she ended up napping ....
 At the hotel swimming...
Sunset Cliffs is suppose to be a great spot and one of the prettiest views in San Diego... that night the clouds rolled in so we didnt get to really enjoy its full potential (and Leighton was chilly)
A friend from San Diego said to check out La Jolla Cove because the seals are always on the beach and she was right.... it was cool to get so close to them.
Leighton only wanted to go down the water slide once but loved sending Thomas the Train down multiple times... she is a little cautious to say the least.
Wish we could have enjoyed this view longer than 3 days....
But as you can see the little girl needed to get back in her own bed to nap because poolside life is too rough! (ignore the white whale beside her)
