A Texas Wedding
For Easter weekend, we headed south to Dallas to meet the Dudas' and attend the MacKillop-Freese wedding. The kids always love an airplane ride. Everyone partners up for a ginger ale and cranberry mix drink order :)
On Friday for lunch, the MacKillops hosted a BBQ lunch for family in town. It was nice to connect and meet others.
We were also excited to get out of Ohio's cold weather. We found a playground close by to enjoy the sunshine. A shirts vs skin game even erupted.
| Katie's sister, Kelsey, and her family live in Dallas so they came over to visit. Kelsey also watched the boys while we were at the wedding Saturday night! |

On Sat, we visited the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in downtown. It was very cool for the kids and had a lot of interactive activities.
Saturday nigth was the wedding. It rained all day but blue skies and the most pleasant 70 degrees and no humidity weather showed up for the evening. Everything was beautiful. It was a black tie wedding so tux for the men and the girls wore long dresses. THe girls were able to attend but the youngest attendees minus a cousin from England. Sadie and Izzy (12 year from Bath) hit it off nicely and were seated together. They both play soccer. Leighton sat in between Izzy's siblings who were 18 and 20 but also easy to talk to!
| the seat arrangements were off and so Michael and I were not across from Wes and Katie. But of course, those two are easy going and made it work! |
On Sunday we found a church close to the airbnb to worship with on Easter morning.
After church on Sunday we found an outdoor food park area and met up with Kelsey's family.
The girls window shopped in Highland Park because they wanted to see where Alex is a personal shopper. No going in any of these stores....Sunday night, the MacKillops, rented out a sushi restaurant and said "order what you want". They are the so hospitable and generous. The boys were very adventurous including Levi see a crab walking around one min, it being boiled, and then popping the entire thing in his mouth the next.
Until next time Mackillops. We loved being there, celebrating and socializing with all!
